Lucas Arruda, born in São Paulo in 1983, is celebrated for his atmospheric landscape paintings that blend abstraction with an almost meditative calm. His works capture fleeting moments of light and shadow, evoking feelings of nostalgia and introspection. While his landscapes appear rooted in reality, they are entirely imagined, drawing from memory and emotional resonance rather than direct observation.
Arruda’s art has been exhibited internationally, including at the Fondation Beyeler (Switzerland) and David Zwirner Gallery (New York, London). His pieces are held in significant collections like the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, the Museum of Modern Art (New York), and private collections worldwide. Arruda’s market presence has grown exponentially, with his work commanding substantial attention at international auctions.

Nara’s works are part of permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Centre Pompidou (Paris), and the National Museum of Modern Art (Tokyo).
