Moragari was founded by Marcos Mora and Carlos Garí, both art collectors with a connection to the world of collecting from an early age. Their perspective, shaped through years of study, acquisition and constant dialogue with artists, galleries and institutions, gives rise to a project born from the collector’s sensibility and evolved into a broader practice of advisory and curation.
Marcos Mora
CO-FOUNDER
Marcos began collecting at the age of 13, a passion inherited from his father and developed through a direct and ongoing relationship with artworks and artists. His approach to collecting is guided by instinct, curiosity and long term conviction.
Together with Carlos, he has built a collection that spans from modern masters such as Willem de Kooning, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Henry Moore, to leading contemporary artists including Richard Prince, Lynette-Yiadom Boakye and others working today.
Alongside collecting, Marcos has developed a distinct approach to interior design rooted in a curatorial understanding of space. His work focuses on what can be described as art led architecture, where interiors are conceived from the inside out, starting with the presence of art rather than adapting art to a finished space.
Each project considers how artworks will live, rotate and interact within the environment, whether within an established collection or in spaces where art becomes part of daily life. The goal is to create interiors where art and architecture exist in balance, shaping the experience of those who inhabit them.
This perspective naturally extends to working with other art collectors, helping them buy and sell art, build collections and integrate art into their spaces with clarity and purpose.
Carlos Garí
CO-FOUNDER
Carlos Garí works closely with art collectors, advising on the development, refinement and management of significant collections.
His work involves collaboration with conservators, curators, museum professionals, galleries and other institutions ensuring that each decision is supported by both technical knowledge and curatorial understanding.
With a strong focus on quality and coherence, he supports collectors in acquiring, structuring and occasionally deaccessioning works, always with a clear understanding of both cultural value and market context.
He also advises collectors on how to buy and sell art with clarity, helping them navigate the market with confidence and long term perspective.
His approach is grounded in experience, discretion and long standing relationships within the art world.
Marta Fuentes
Art Operations Manager
Marta Fuentes is the operational backbone of Moragari. Her work encompasses project coordination, relationship management with artists, collectors and external collaborators, and the organisation of the processes that keep each initiative moving forward with coherence and fluidity.
With a background in the humanities and a solid track record in international project management, she brings a structured vision and the ability to navigate complex environments with precision and judgement.
Her relationship with art, built since childhood and sustained by an active curiosity, has given her an intuitive understanding of the dynamics of the sector that complements her operational profile naturally. Her ability to communicate in multiple languages completes an approach where organisation, sensitivity and criteria combine to meet the demands of an artistic context.
